CLIC-on-Health is a community project that features easily accessible, reliable, high-quality consumer health resources on the Internet. The project provides free access to the Internet, including equipment and Internet service; a targeted “one-stop-shopping” section of the CLIC-on-Health website dedicated to seniors; and assistance in locating reliable and current health information from local public and medical libraries. The project is committed to providing all people in the greater Rochester area with the high quality health information and resources they need to make wise lifestyle and healthcare choices. The CLIC-on-Health website (www.cliconhealth.org) offers comprehensive information on diseases, medications, local health services, and support groups. A course in five sessions, taught by Brighton Memorial Library reference librarians, will be offered at the Brighton Recreation Center, located at 220 Idlewood Road. Classes are limited to five to ensure individual instruction. CLIC-on-Health is made possible through grants from the National Library of Medicine and NY State Senator Jim Alesi, sponsor of the largest Annual Family Health and Fitness Fair in Western NY.
