Display Case Guidelines

Goal

To apply a consistent philosophy to the use of library display facilities and bulletin boards in public areas.

Rationale

Primary use of the main display case, other display facilities and bulletin boards in public areas should be to focus on Brighton Memorial Library collections and programs as a means of patron notification of library information.

Secondary use, where space and time permits, should be the non-profit and non-commercial display of projects and activities and posting of notices of cultural, civic or educational interest.

Policy

The use of library display facilities and bulletin boards is under the sole control of the Library Board of Trustees, with the Director administering the policy established by the Library Board. When not in use by the library, the facilities are available for non-profit, non-commercial exhibits and notices of cultural, civic or educational interest according to approved guidelines.
