Application Form

Are you, or do you know of, a homebound senior 60 years or older who is a Brighton resident in need of library service? You may be interested in our service program, Partners in Reading for Seniors (PIRS).

Brighton Memorial Library’s PIRS program matches homebound Brighton senior citizens with library volunteer (age 18 an older) to create a reading partnership. The volunteer partner phones or visits his/her senior partner to receive a request for library materials. These can be books, magazines or audiovisual materials. The volunteer then selects the materials, charges them out to the senior partner’s library card and delivers them to the senior partner. When the senior partner is finished with the materials or the due date approaches, the volunteer partner picks up the items for return or renewal.

If you are homebound and 60 years or older and want to register for PIRS service, complete the Application Form. If you are 18 or older and would like to volunteer, please contact the library.
