Summer Learning and Reading 2025

Color Our World at BML 2025 Summer Reading and Learning program officially begins on Friday, June 27. You can register any day or time after that. First-day registrations will be held in our Friends of BML Learning Center.***
If you come to register between 10am - 3pm on the 27th, you can shop for a new-to-you book at our Friends' Pop-Up Children's Book Sale. Most items will be just $1 each!
How it Works
Children from birth through pre-school can be registered by a parent or caregiver for a Baby Artists Summer Learning Game containing activities for child and caregiver to complete together. Each complete paint spill on the gameboard earns a prize. Complete every paint spill and earn a board book!
Students entering grades preK–12 can register for an Color Our World Summer Reading and Learning Passport where they can:
-
Choose a daily reading goal (20, 30, 45+ minutes) and then mark off a "read" spot on the passport when the goal is met or exceeded.
-
Mark off spots for any completed activities selected from the included list.
-
Complete the gameboard by August 14.
For each completed page of the passport, see the librarian at the Children's Information Desk for a prize and a raffle ticket. Finish the board to earn a book!
Adults, you can participate, too! For each book read or listened to, stop in to fill out a raffle ticket to win prizes to area restaurants and businesses!
