T-Shirt Design Contest through 6/25/21

 

Rochester Peer Tutors is looking for a design for t-shirts for their tutors!  Students in grades 6-12 are invited to submit designs that will work on a light blue shirt.  Submissions are due 6/25/21 by midnight.

Design Contest Guidelines:

  1. Open to 6th-12th graders

  2. Submitted works must be originals by the artist

  3. By submission, the artist grants permission for the library to display, photograph, and reproduce the submitted work for publicity purposes

  4. The areas on the T-shirt that can be designed are limited to the front, back, left chest, or a combination of these - please specify in your submission the desired location of each design

  5. The color of the T-shirt will be light blue, so keep that in mind as you’re designing it! 

  6. Include “Rochester Peer Tutoring” in some way or form in the design

  7. Please limit the number of colors used in the design to 5 colors

  8. Each participant is limited to 3 entries

  9. When submitting your entry, please provide your name, grade, school, phone number, and email so we can inform the winner and credit your design!

  10. Contest submissions can either be digital art or on paper (If it is on paper, it will later be scanned)

  11. Entries can be submitted either directly to our email rocpeertutor@gmail.com, or to Deena Viviani, Young Adult Librarian, at Brighton Memorial Library

  12. The deadline for contest entries will be June 25th - Final results will be announced by July 5th

  13. Artwork will be judged by 3 Rochester Peer Tutoring and Brighton Memorial Library representatives

  14. Prize package for the winner will be free t-shirt with the winning design and a book bundle

5x7xDesign Art Contest

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

5x7xDesign is a juried, small-works exhibit that showcases the talents of students in grades 6-12 who live in or attend school in Brighton. Postcard-sized works in various media are submitted to the library for judging in the fall. Two works in various media are submitted to the library for judging. Two works may be submitted by each artist. Work is judged anonymously based on creativity, originality, technique, and composition by a team of art professionals. Prizes are awarded in two divisions: Junior (grades 6-9) and Senior (grades 10-12). The contest is sponsored by Friends of BML.

Alice B. Wilson Literary Awards Contest

 

 

The annual contest is open to all students in grades 6-12 who live in or attend school in Brighton.  
Students compete in Junior (grades 6-9) and Senior Divisions (grades 10-12). Cash prizes are awarded in fiction, non-fiction, and poetry categories. 
Sponsored by Friends of Brighton Memorial Library and the Brighton Memorial Library Gift Fund.
