Slide 1 is an exterior picture of the library in the winter.

Slide 2 announces our hours at BML are Monday-Thursday from 9 AM-8 PM, Fridays from 9 AM-6 PM, and Saturdays-Sundays from noon-4 PM.

Slide 3 announces the start of the 2021-2022 BML Foundation Annual Campaign. Help expand our services and benefit the entire community for years to come by donating to BML.

Slide 4 announces the beginning of our Forever Hold Card Sale! The sale runs from November 15 through December 31. The cards provide 15 holds for $5. Holds are usually $.50 each.

Slide 5 invites everyone to listen to a lecture about the 1609 murder trail of a bear who was housed next to the Globe Theater for shows that had scenes with fights between animals. The program, called Bear on Trial, will be held Thursday, December 2 from 6-7:30 PM at the library. No registration required. Call 784-5300 for more information.

Slide 6 announces the return of our Alice B. Wilson Literary Awards Contest, which runs now through February 13. The contest is open to students in grades 6-12 who live in or attend school in Brighton. Visit BrightonLibrary.org/teen-events for details. Sponsored by Friends of BML.

Slide 7 announces our next virtual bilingual Chinese-English Storytime will be held Sunday, December 5. The storytime will be available beginning at 10 AM on our Facebook page, www.facebook/brightonmemoriallibrary.

Slide 8 welcomes adults to our Pathways to a High School Equivalency Diploma and ESL Classes program on Monday, December 6, from 6:30-7:30 PM. For details or to register, call 784-5300 or email Deena.Viviani@libraryweb.org.

Slide 12 invites parents and caregivers of children birth through age 4 to one of our 30-minute sessions to explore playtime with the library's toys on Wednesdays at 9, 10, or 11 AM. To register online or for more information, visit https://brightonlibrary.eventbrite.com/.

Slide 13 announces our Read to Lily, a beagle mix therapy dog, program on Google Meet. Call 784-5300 to register. The program is offered on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons.

Slide 14 welcomes children to our Drop-In All-Ages Storytimes on Mondays and Thursdays at 10 AM in the Learning Center. Doors open at 9:50 AM. Space is limited and available on a first-come basis. 

Slide 15 invites patrons to participate in Miss Devin's virtual storytimes on Wednesdays at 11 AM and Thursdays at 7 PM. Both are aired on the BML Facebook Page, www.facebook.com/BrightonLibrary.

Slide 16 announces the return of our Take and Make Crafts and Activities. New activities are available each Friday in the Children's Center, while supplies last. Sponsored by Friends of BML.

Slide 17 encourages parents and caregivers with children ages birth-4 to sign up to receive a new, monthly Talking is Teaching Bundle. Talking is Teaching is a campaign that helps parents recognize their power to boost their children’s early brain development. Slide 19 invites patrons to learn about the Libby app during our technology program called Meet Libby. Taught by Daniel Jones, participants will learn what apps are, how to download them, and how to access, reserve, download, and manage e-books, audiobooks, magazines, and more from your local library. Slide 20 lets everyone know that Rochester Peer Tutoring is accepting students needing homework assistance. Call 784-5300 or go to BrightonLibrary.org/teen-education for details about becoming a peer tutor or for tutoring help. Ongoing for grades 1-12.

Slide 21 reminds patrons of our two streaming services: Hoopla and Libby! Brighton residents can now stream movies, TV shows, music, audiobooks, eBooks, and comic books for free using the the Hoopla app. They can stream eBooks and audiobooks on the Libby app.

Slide 22 lets patrons know the Friends of Brighton Memorial Library Bookstore is open. Most items are $1.

Slide 23 encourages people to follow the Brighton Memorial Library's Facebook and Instagram pages for our most up-to-date information.
