Slide 1 is an exterior picture of the library sign on Elmwood Avenue.

Slide 2 announces our summer hours at BML run from June 19 through September 15. They are Monday-Thursday from 9 AM-8 PM, Fridays from 9 AM-6 PM, and Sundays from 1-4 PM. We will be closed Saturdays.

Slide 3 announces the next Friends' Book Sale will be held from Monday-Sunday, June 21-27. Most items are $1. Masks must be worn. Details can be found at www.brightonlibrary.org/book-sale-info.

 

Slide 4 details a Zoom lecture planned for Friday, June 18, from 2-3 PM on The Plateau: A French Village, Holocause Rescue, and Lessons for Turbulent Times by Maggie Paxson. The book received the American Library in Paris Book Award and was described as "radiant" by The Oprah Magazine. Call 784-5300 or email Deena.Viviani@libraryweb.org to register.

Slide 5 invites people to participate in a Musculoskeletal Pain Zoom Program called "Chronic Pelvic Pain Explained." It will be held on Tuesday, June 22, at 6:30 PM. Sig up via http://is.gd/pelvicpain or call 784-5300. Participants can opt to join a pain management study.

Slide 6 is a seminar for parents called "Why--and What--Teens Should Be Reading Outside of School." It will be held on Tuesday, June 23, at 6:30 PM. Register by 1 PM on June 22 by emailing Deena.Viviani@libraryweb.org or calling 784-5300.

Slide 7 encourages parents to sign up for our College 101: Planning, Preparing and Paying Zoom program, which will be held on Thursday, June 24, from 7-8 PM. To register, call 784-5300 or email Deena.Viviani@libraryweb.org.

Slide 8 announces that our PIRS (Partners in Reading for Seniors) program is back! You can volunteer to bring library materials to homebound Brighton seniors. Stop in the library or log onto https://www.brightonlibrary.org/pirs-partners-in-reading-for-senior for details. Sponsored by Friends of BML.

Slide 9 encourages parents and caregivers with children ages birth-4 to sign up to receive a new, monthly Talking is Teaching Bundle. Talking is Teaching is a campaign that helps parents recognize their power to boost their children’s early brain development. To reserve your bundles, fill out the one-time registration form found at www.BrightonLibrary.org/children.

Slide 10 announces the return of Sunshine & Stories with Miss Elissa. The outdoor storytime is held by the playground behind the library. Check our Facebook page afer 9:30 AM the morning of to find out if the weather is permitting. Social distancing and face masks are required.

Slide 11 announces our Read to Lily, a beagle mix therapy dog, program on Google Meet. Call 784-5300 to register. The program is offered on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons.

Slide 12 invites patrons to participate in Miss Devin's virtual storytimes on Wednesdays at 11 AM and Thursdays at 7 PM. Both are aired on the BML Facebook Page, www.facebook.com/BrightonLibrary.

Slide 13 shares information about Brighton Book Bundles. If you like surprises and need book suggestions, try our newest service: Brighton Book Bundles. Call 784-5300 or speak with a librarian to make a request. For ages infant through grade 12.

Slide 15 introduces our new streaming service, Hoopla! Brighton residents can now stream movies, TV shows, music, audiobooks, ebooks, and comic books for free using their library card.

Slide 16 lets patrons know the Friends of Brighton Memorial Library Bookstore is open. Most items are $1.

Slide 17 seeks donations to the BML Foundation. Help expand our services and benefit the entire community for years to come.

Slide 18 promotes our OverDrive service, which is filled with eBooks and eAudiobooks.

Slide 19 encourages people to follow the Brighton Memorial Library's Facebook and Instagram pages for our most up-to-date information.
