The slides on our Home Page announce the following programs and services:    ​​​

• Fall storytimes begin the week of September 8th.  All ages storytimes occur on Mondays at 9:30 AM, during pajama storytime on Wednesdays at 6:30, and on Friday mornings at 10:30 AM.  

​

• Storytimes for toddlers (beginner walkers) is on Tuesday mornings starting September 9th at 10:30 AM.  Lapsit storytime for pre-walkers is also on Tuesdays, at 11:30 AM.​​​​​​​​​​ ​​                                                                                                                                                              

• The annual 5 x 7 x Design Teen Art Contest is open to submissions from October 1 until December 1.  Please see the official rules at brightonlibrary.org/teen-events.                                                                                                                                                                           

• On Wednesday, November 12, from 2 - 3 PM, the Alzheimer's Association will present a course covering basic information on the difference between Alzheimer's and dementia.                 

• On Wednesday, November 12, from 6:30 - 7:30 PM, Madison Quinn, Sustainability Coordinator for Monroe County will discuss implementation projects currently underway and next steps in the County's sustainability program, including the complementary Climate Adaptation and Resiliency Plan.  Register to attend in person or for the Zoom link.                                                     ​​

• The Bestseller Book Club will meet Thursday, November 13, from 5 - 6 PM to discuss Shutter by Ramona Emerson.  Registration required.                                                               ​​​

• ​​​The Teen Writing Club will meet on Saturday, November 15 from 1 - 2 PM.  Open to grades 6-12.  Registration required.     ​​​                                                                                                  ​​

• Eastman School of Music's Ian Oliver Trio will perform on Tuesday, November 18, at 6:30 PM.​​

• The Mystery Book Club will meet on Wednesday, November 19, from 2:30 - 3:30 PM or Thursday, November 20, from 5:30 - 6:30 PM.  Registration required.

• The LEGO Club will meet on Thursday, November 20, at 4:30 PM.

​

• Partners in Reading with Seniors (PIRS) will meet on Friday, November 21, from 1:30 - 3:00 PM.  Cheri Copie, a grief counselor from Good Grief Rochester, will also talk about navigating the holidays.  Registration required.

• Maia Mesh, Monroe County Recruiter, will discuss navigating Civil Service and employment opportunities with Monroe County on Friday, November 21, from 3:30 - 5:00 PM. 

​

• Toddler Dance Party is Wednesday, November 26 at 10:00 AM in the Children's Center.  No registration required.  Open to all ages and abilities.

​

• Teen Writing Club meets Saturday, November 29 from 1:00 - 2:00 PM in the Teen Center of the library.

​

• Pokémon Meet and Swap meets on Saturday, November 29 from 1:00 - 2:00 PM and on Sunday, November 30 from 1:00 - 2:00 PM.

• BML will close at 5pm on Wednesday, November 26 and remain closed throughout Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28.  The library will resume regular hours on Saturday, November 29.
