• Fall storytimes begin the week of September 8th.  All ages storytimes occur on Mondays at 9:30 AM, during pajama storytime on Wednesdays at 6:30, and on Friday mornings at 10:30 AM.  

​

• Storytimes for toddlers (beginner walkers) is on Tuesday mornings starting September 9th at 10:30 AM.  Lapsit storytime for pre-walkers is also on Tuesdays, at 11:30 AM.​​​​​​​​​​ ​​                                                                                                                                                              

• The annual 5 x 7 x Design Teen Art Contest is open to submissions from October 1 until December 1.  Please see the official rules at brightonlibrary.org/teen-events.                                                                                                                                                                           

• The final deadline for the annual 5 x 7 x Design Teen Art Contest is Monday, December 1.  Please see the official rules at brightonlibrary.org/teen-events.                                                                                                                                                                           

• Pick up a month-long train-themed scavenger hunt in honor of the upcoming visit from The Genesee & Ontario Model-N-Gineers and see if you can find the train pictures hiding in the Children's Center!                                                                                                                                                                            

• The Nazareth University String Quartet will perform a holiday celebration on Tuesday, December 2 at 7:00 PM.                                                                                                                                                                          

• The Library Learning Lab: Solid, Liquid, & Gas with RMSC will conduct a lab on Wednesday, December 3 at 10:00 AM.  Registration required.  Limit 30 attendees.                                                         

• Cookbook Club meets on Wednesday, December 3 from 6:00 - 7:00 PM.  Registration required.                                                                                                                                                                           

• Lego Club meets on Thursday, December 4 at 4:30 PM.                                                                                                                                                                           

• Books Sandwiched In: More or Less Maddy will be led by Dr. Dorota Gardy, Division Head for Ambulatory Services - Behavioral Health Service of Rochester Regional Health. The meeting is Thursday, December 4 from 12:00 - 1:00 PM.                                                                                                                                                                       

• Color Brighton Green presents Walking for Rochester, with co-founder Matt Apple, on Tuesday, December 9 from 6:30-7:45 PM.  Register to attend in person or to receive a Zoom link.

• The Bestseller Book Club will meet on Thursday, December 11 at 5:30 PM to discuss Daniel Mason's North Woods. Registration required.

• Teen Writing Club meets Saturday, December 13 from 1:00 - 2:00 PM in the Teen Center of the library.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             

• Friends of Brighton Memorial Library will conduct a pop-up book sale at the Brighton Memorial Library on Saturday, December 13 from Noon - 3:30 PM and on Sunday, December 14 from Noon - 3:30 PM.  They now accept credit cards, and Friends will wrap your holiday books upon request.

• The Mystery Book Club meets Wednesday, December 17 from 2:30 - 3:30 PM or Thursday, December 18 from 5:30 - 6:30 PM.  They will be discussing Lucy Foley's The Hunting Party; registration is required.

• The 5x7xDesign Teen Art Contest artwork will be on display and winning entries will be awarded on Thursday, December 18 from 7:00 - 7:30 PM.

• Pokémon Meet and Swap meets on Sunday, December 21 from 1:00 - 2:00 PM.

• BML will close Wednesday, December 24 and Thursday, December 25.  The library will resume regular hours on Friday, December 26.

• Our BML Foundation Annual Campaign is in full swing.  Help expand our services and benefit the entire community for years to come by donating to BML.
